Mimi Johnson MA, ACT-CPT, CHES
My journey as a health and wellness coach began right here in Washington. After earning my degree in Exercise Sports Science, Fitness, and Health Promotion from Western Washington University, I began working alongside physical therapists, providing exercise prescriptions to orthopedic patients with various injuries.
In 2007, I decided to take a break from working and traveled solo to Southeast Asia before pursuing my master's degree at Columbia University - Teachers College in Health Education in New York City. While completing my degree, I founded Wellmpowered in 2007, a personal training and health coaching company, working with various clients in Manhattan. Fast forward to May 2013, and I made the decision to sell my business and return home to Seattle with my husband, so we could be close to our family. |
Today, I find fulfillment as a proud mother to two active kids, while maintaining the same level of passion for guiding my clients on their wellness journeys. When I'm not coaching, you'll often find me spending time with my husband and children, tending to my cut flower garden, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, or immersing myself in the vibrant offerings of the Edmonds Farmers Market
