Why Would I Benefit from Working with a Health Kitchen Wellness Coach?

There are many reasons why you might seek coaching from a wellness coach. For example you may need:
-Guidance towards reaching weight loss goals
-Help in eliminating the rut of eating sugary foods and beverages
-Support in finding the right tools for making exercise and physical activity part of your daily life
-Assistance is creating an environment that is conducive to your new health choices
-Help finding strategies to ensure your are not reverting to your old habits
-Assistance in executing what your doctor or nutritionist has prescribed for you as it relates to your current lifestyle and eating habits
-Assistance in finding an acceptable work/life balance


How do Health Kitchen Wellness coaching Session work?

Your first session can either take place in-person, video chat, or over the phone. During this time we will go through your HK Questionnaire to establish a starting point in your wellness path. We will discuss where you would like to see yourself 1 year, 3 months, and 1 week from the day we have our first session. Once your health goals have been established we will identify motivators and obstacles while discovering how these goals align with your overall health and well-being.

During your first session you and your coach will determine realistic, specific, time oriented, action oriented, and measurable weekly goals. These goals will be challenging, but not overwhelming. Sometimes your goals will be very small, but accomplishing small incremental changes over time will add up to reaching your larger long term goals. 

Our goal is to help you to clearly define your goals and discover a renewed sense of confidence and self-esteem as you accomplish them weekly. Over time you will have developed new behaviors and interests that are in line with your 1 year goals. As your coach it is our goal to help you gain self-confidence in your abilities to accomplish your wellness goals and in turn influencing your health and well-being.



Am I Someone Who Could Benefit From Health Kitchen Wellness Coaching?

If you are someone who wants to make changes in one or more areas of your life as it relate to your over all health and well-being HK Wellness Coaching will be helpful. 


Does a Health Kitchen Wellness Coach Differ From a Psychotherapist?

Yes. Psychotherapists are mental health care professional with training in medicine, psychology, nursing, or social work and specialize in working with patients with depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health disorders.
 

What is Your Roll as My health KITCHEN Wellness Coach?

It is our goal to help facilitate and empower you to make the changes necessary to reach your goals as it relates to your health and wellness. Your coach will provide you with structure, expertise, accountability, and encouragement that will help you build self-efficacy. Your partnership with your coach will foster personal growth and development that would be more challenging to do on your own. Having someone to help you stay accountable has always been show to help you accomplish more. 

As your coach we will:

-Accept and meet you where you are today
-Guide you in doing mindful thinking, feeling, and implementing of your goals to help build confidence

-Help you define your high purpose for health and well being
-Uncover your natural impulses for wellness
-Address mental and physical health together
-Assist you in creating a personal wellness, health, or fitness plan
-Help us set, and achieve small realistic goals that will build the foundation for self efficacy
-Harness the strength you need to overcome obstacles
-Reflect on your obstacles and find ways to turn these obstacles into learning opportunities for growth
-Inspire and challenge you to go above and beyond what you thought was possible on your own


What Will Your Coach ask of You?

As your coach we will ask you to take charge at your health and wellness coaching sessions and commit to the outside work necessary to be successful in reaching your goals. As your coach we realize that there will be times of challenge, but know that as your coach we are here to support you along the way. 


I HAVE A DOCTOR, NUTRITIONIST, AND/OR PERSONAL TRAINER, WHY WOULD I NEED A HEALTH KITCHEN WELLNESS COACH?

The biggest difference between your Health Kitchen Wellness Coach and your health care provider is that we are not here to tell you what to do. We are here to help you discover why making your health changes is important to you, building on your strengths, thus facilitating your inner motivation to accomplish your goals. 

Upon your request we would be more than happy to work with your health care provider to ensure that we are working together to create a supportive network for you. Our coaches have worked with various health care providers and believe that it is important to maintain close communication throughout your coaching sessions.
